Camp Confidential: Mehlville Football Has Something to Prove This Fall

Editor’s Note: after an extended break, we’re returning to our Camp Confidential series, checking in with coaches to gauge summer progress. Next up is Kent Heinemann, from the Mehlville Panthers, who talks about the impact of attending team camp at the University of Missouri earlier this summer.

The Panther football team traveled to Columbia, MO to attend the Mizzou Football Contact Camp.  Thirty-nine players were able to make the trip and participate in 1 on 1, 7 on 7, and 11 on 11 scrimmages along with some coaching by the University of Missouri Football staff.  Playing many teams who were in their second week of camp, we were pretty rough at first, but we improved as the weekend progressed.  We spent the next week back at Mehlville for an additional week of camp as well.  Coming off of a 2-8 season that was plagued by numerous injuries our guys feel like they have a lot to prove this 2015 season.  Overall we believe we became a better team and will benefit from the concentrated focus on football and bonding that the two weeks together allowed.  #ALLIN
