Rising junior Lauryn Miller will be busy this summer, representing the U.S. following her selection Monday to the U16 girls squad. She arrived back from Colorado Springs late last night. Her mother Romona shared this with us this morning.
It is such an honor to be able to represent the USA with the U16 Womens Basketball team in Mexico. There were so many talented athletes in CO who could have been chosen and she is thrilled that she was. Lauryn works very hard and dedicates numerous hours to develop her basketball skills and that was demonstrated at the trials. She looks forward to the opportunity to get with her new teammates and set their sights on another FIBA championship for the USA team.
Resulting from her play with Kirkwood High School and her select team, Missouri Phenom, currently, Lauryn has had interests from a multitude of colleges/universities and she has 9 D1 offers. She is very aware that this opportunity with USA Basketball will greatly enhance her visibility with colleges/universities and she welcomes that.
This is a very exciting time for Lauryn.
