McCluer South OLB Commits to Illinois State

It may only be fitting that if a St. Louis area athlete left the city to play sports at the next level, they join up with the Redbirds. That’s what McCluer South-Berkeley Outside Linebacker Tuvone Clark is doing by signing Wednesday with Illinois State. Clark shared his thoughts about the decision before sending in his national letter of intent. You can continue to submit your college commitment information here until the end of February.

School: Illinois State

Biggest Factors in Decision: “They have an outstanding program going and I wanted to be apart of it. The vibe was great, and I immediately wanted to become apart of it.”

Other schools considered: Eastern Illinois, Indiana State, and Missouri State

Who would you like to thank? “I would like to thank God 1st, then my family and coaches for being the best support system. I would also like to thank Coach Dicken, Coach Spack, and Coach Schoony for giving me a chance to further my education at Illinois State.”

Anything else you want to add about the process? “Through the whole process I had people supporting me on whatever decision I made.”
