Belleville West’s Austin Seibert, ranked by Rivals as the #2 special teams kicker in this year’s class nationally, will make his commitment to Oklahoma official. Sooner nation has been in something of a state of unease since the bowl season ended. Head Coach Bob Stoops parted ways with a pair of longtime offensive assistants, but not special teams coordinator Jay Boulware, who handled Seibert’s recruiting. Seibert told us about his decision in the latest installment of our Commitment Tracker, where student-athletes can have the final say about the end of their recruiting process.

School: Oklahoma

What were the biggest factors in your decision: “Big-time football program, great facilities, awesome coaching staff and a beautiful campus.”

What other schools were considered: Missouri, Miami (Fl), Kentucky, Colorado, Northwestern University, and Indiana.

Who do you want to thank? “My parents for all there support and help. Also all the coaches that recruited me. Lastly my family for believing in me and helping me reach my goals.”

Is there anything else you want to add about this process? “Stay true to yourself and go wherever fits the best for you. Don’t go unless you’re 100% positive.”
