Lutheran St. Charles Touchdown Maker To Continue Career at Illinois State

Not too many St. Louis area high school football players found the end zone more than Bryce Jefferson in 2014. According to St. Louis Post-Dispatch stats, the Lutheran St. Charles standout ranked fourth in the area, with 34 TDs. Most of the damage came on the ground as Jefferson averaged 9.8 yards per carry en route to a 2300 yard season and 32 rushing TDs for the Cougars.

Jefferson tells us about his decision to continue his football career at the next level.

School: Illinois State

What were the biggest factors in your decision? “Loved the campus and players I got to meet. Coaches treated me very well and were there from the start.”

What Other Schools Were Considered? Missouri Western, Lindenwood, Western Illinois, Missouri State

Who do you want to thank? “First off God for all the blessings in my life, family and friends. Coach Dicken and coach Conard over at Illinois state for being huge advocates for me.”

Anything else to add? “Beyond blessed that I can continue my football and academic career at Illinois State University.”
