It was good to play somebody else. After a few weeks of practice against each other, we hosted a jamboree Friday night with Winfield, Van-Far and Wellsville. It was a great experience for us to see other competition. It was also an eye-opener for us to see what we need to work on and where we stand against varsity opponents. As a staff, the speed and athleticism at the varsity level is something that we talk about all the time but cannot simulate in practice. It was good for our guys to see the speed of the game both offensively and defensively.
We now have a week to prepare before games start to count on our record. We open the season in the Lutheran South tournament against the host school. Now is the time in the season to take what we have and get it game ready! Happy Thanksgiving! Oskie.
